Dr. Steinberg is a New York State licensed psychotherapist who has worked as a private practitioner for over 13 years. Her passion is to work with individuals, partners and families to help them improve their relationships with themselves and others, in order to improve their lives. She has spent many years teaching counseling psychology at both Columbia University and The American Academy of Clinical Sexologists (she taught Clinical Treatment of Male Sexual Dysfunction).

Dr. Steinberg is a media sweetheart, with her work appearing in nearly every major magazine and newspaper publication.

For her own education, Dr. Steinberg completed her graduate training in Counseling Psychology at NYU and Columbia University, and furthered her Psychotherapy training in Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), both shown to be the most effective forms of therapy, at the esteemed Albert Ellis Institute in New York. Dr. Steinberg also graduated from The Johns Hopkins University.

To better understand and treat the wide variety of issues related to relationships, partnering and human sexuality, she sought specialized post-graduate training at the American Academy of Clinical Sexologists and is a Board Certified Clinical Sexologist and Diplomate of Sexology. 

Dr. Steinberg has many years of experience treating individuals, couples and families with concerns about relationships, depression, anxiety and low self-esteem. Her work with individuals and couples in both traditional and alternative relationships is confidential and without discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation or any other factor. She has professional experience working with patients of all ages and a multitude of ethnic backgrounds, remains very active in the Psychotherapy community.
