Individual Therapy



Individual therapy is a process in which you work one-on-one with a trained psychotherapist in a compassionate and confidential environment. You will be taught to explore your thoughts, feelings and actions, to help you better understand the dynamics of your life. Together we will work through the challenges that you face and examine the ways in which you have been handling them . With this insight you will be able to improve your relationships with yourself and others.

Your goals will become the focus of our work together and we will craft solutions tailored to the specific issues you are confronting. If you are plagued by worry, sadness, or relationship stress, or have difficulty performing at work, we will teach you simple solutions that will dramatically reduce the difficulties you are experiencing while enhancing your self-awareness and personal growth.

We will examine the situations that don't seem to resonate with your personal values, help you better understand yourself and the people with whom you interact, and thereby identify aspects in need of change. We will help you set goals, teach you how to work towards achieving them and we will give you the tools to become your own healer.

I practice a specialized form of therapy called Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), which is the most effective form of CBT (Cognitive Behavior Therapy), known for its rapid symptom reduction. Furthermore, studies have shown that reducing anxiety and depression with cognitive behavior therapy also can re-balance brain chemicals and create new neural pathways to reduce or eliminate physical symptoms of stress which contribute to headache, fatigue, and other maladies that exacerbate emotional pain.

Sometimes people experience depression, anxiety, anger and/or find themselves in unhappy relationships. These feelings are common but need not be permanent -- we will show you how to free yourself to have a more fulfilling life.
